Rear Lid, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .
-- If equipped, remove the left and right hinge cover. Refer to HINGES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connectors from any electrical components.
-- Guide the left wires -2- (right, if equipped) with the rubber grommet out of the rear lid -1-.
-- Loosen, but do not remove, the bolts -3- on the left and right hinges.
A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure.
-- Remove the bolts -3- and the rear lid -1-.
