Actuator, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .
-- Disconnect the connector -3- from the button connection -2-.
-- Remove the nuts -4- from the Release Button in Rear Lid Handle -E234- threaded pins.
-- Remove the cover -1- upward.
-- Remove the Release Button in Rear Lid Handle -E234- -2- from the rear lid.
If there is an electrical malfunction, the rear lid can be opened using the latch emergency release. Refer to LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . The emergency release is reached through an opening in the rear lid trim panel.
