Hood, Adjusting: Procedure: Notes

-- Remove the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the striker -1-. Refer to STRIKER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- By loosening the hex nuts -4- on the left and right lid hinges -5-, the hood can be adjusted at the side and lengthwise between the fenders.

-- By loosening the bolts -6- on the left and right lid hinges -5-, the hood can be centered heightwise and lengthwise between the fenders.

-- Make sure the gap dimensions are even. Refer to the appropriate information BODY FRONT or BODY FRONT .

-- After adjusting, apply corrosion protection to the lid hinges -5- and the hex nuts -4-.

-- Adjust the adjusting buffer -2- by turning it.

-- After adjusting the hood, the striker -1- can be reinstalled and adjusted. Refer to Striker, Adjusting .

-- The hood in the front area can be adjusted to the height of the fenders using the latch -3-, refer to Latch, Adjusting .
