Right Seal, Replacing On The Manual Transmission, Between The Manual Transmission And Bevel Box

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• : T10037 
• Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143/2 
• Shop Crane - Drip Tray: VAS6208 
• Seal Installer - Bevel Box: T10243 
• Sealing Grease
• Refer to the Parts Information for the grease allocation.

Bevel Box 

-- Remove the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX, REMOVING .

Front Axle Differential Lock 

-- Remove front axle differential lock. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK, REMOVING .

Continuation for All 

-- Place the : VAS6208  or : SMN372500  underneath.

-- Pry out the seal on the manual transmission using the : T20143/2  or : VW681  .

-- Fill the area between the sealing/dust lip -arrow- halfway with Sealing Grease.

-- Lightly oil the outer edge of the new seal.

-- Install the seal until it stops.

Bevel Box 

-- Install the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX .

-- Check the level of the gear oil inside the bevel box. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .

Front Axle Differential Lock 

-- Install front axle differential lock. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK, INSTALLING .

-- Check the front axle differential lock fluid. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK FLUID .

Continuation for All 

-- Check the transmission fluid level in the manual transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
