TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING, MANUAL TRANSMISSION "with" FLUID FILLER PLUG

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Triple Square Socket Driver: 3357  for transmission fluid fill plug with internal multi-point fitting
• Torque Wrench, 6-50Nm: VAG1331A 
• Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit: SMN372500 

Transmission fluid specification. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Place the : SMN372500  under the transmission.

-- Remove the transmission fluid check plug -arrow-.

The Fluid Level Is Correct When the Transmission Fluid Comes up to the Lower Edge of Fluid Filler Hole.

-- If necessary, add transmission fluid until it reaches the lower edge of the filler hole.

-- Install the plug -arrow- with a new seal (if equipped).

-- Tighten the plug -arrow-. Refer to Figure.

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
