Valve Body, Removing And Installing, Transmission Installed: Removing

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the air filter housing with the air duct hose. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release and disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- from the transmission.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- for the wire bracket -3-.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and remove the ground wire -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -2- and push the bracket -1- with the wires toward the radiator grille.

-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nut for the ground threaded connection -arrow- from the left front longitudinal member.

-- Remove the wires -1- from the threaded pin.

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Pivot the left lower coolant hose out of the transmission fluid pan area and tie it up.

-- Remove the transmission fluid pan. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the wiring harness for the sensor and solenoid valves from the valve body. Refer to SENSOR AND SOLENOID VALVE WIRING HARNESS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the connectors -1, 2, and 3- -arrow B- and remove them from the valve body -4- in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Disengage the wire from the valve body -arrow A-.

-- Loosen the bolts -arrows- diagonally.

-- Carefully remove the valve body -1-.

Only the indicated bolts -arrows- may be loosened.
