Transmission Fluid Pan, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing with the air duct hose. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release and disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- from the transmission.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- for the wire bracket -3-.

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Place the : SMN372500 under the transmission.

-- Remove the ATF check plug -1-.

-- Remove the ATF drain plug with the overflow tube -3- and allow the remaining ATF to drain.

NOTE:

Replace the seal -2 and 4-.

-- Remove the nut for the ground threaded connection -arrow- from the left front longitudinal member.

-- Remove the wire -1- from the threaded pin.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and remove the ground wire -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -2- and push the bracket -1- with the wires toward the radiator grille.

NOTE:

The rest of the procedure is shown on a removed transmission to provide a better overview.

-- Loosen and remove the bolts -arrows- in a diagonal sequence.

NOTE:

Some residual ATF will remain in the transmission fluid pan.

-- Remove the transmission fluid pan -1- together with the transmission fluid pan gasket.
