Transmission Coolant Valve -N488-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 6-SPEED DSG® TRANSMISSION: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation -1-. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the turbocharger air duct pipe/charge air cooler. Refer to AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Clamp off the coolant hoses at the Transmission Coolant Valve -N488- using the :3094 .

NOTE:

Cover the opening of the transmission with a cleaning cloth, so that no coolant enters the clutch housing.

-- Loosen the clamps -2- and remove the coolant hoses.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and then remove the Transmission Coolant Valve -N488-.
