Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump

NOTE:
If large quantities of metal particles or other deposits such as those caused by partial seizure of the crankshaft or connecting rod damage are found in the engine oil, clean the oil channels thoroughly and replace the engine oil cooler to prevent subsequent damage.
- Nut
- 9 Nm
- Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- O-Ring
- Replace after removing.
- Coat with engine oil
- Oil Drain Plug/Plug
- Sheet metal oil pan: 30 Nm
- Plastic oil pan: turn using the Oil Drain Plug Assembly Tool : T10549 until it stops
- Gasket/O-Ring
- Replace the gasket after removal
- Replace the O-ring if there are leaks
- Seal/Liquid Sealant
- Refer to the Parts Information.
- Bolt
- 4 Nm +45°
- Replace after removing.
- For the oil baffle and oil intake pipe
- Oil Baffle
- There are plastic ribs on the oil baffle that deform permanently when tightening the oil pan lower section. The plastic ribs ensure the oil baffle has no play and does not rattle. Because of this, always replace the oil baffle.
- O-Ring
- Replace after removing.
- Coat with engine oil
- Oil Intake Pipe
- Clean the screen if there are debris
- Centering Bracket
- Bolt
- Tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
- Replace after removing.
- Oil Pan Upper Section
- Tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Cylinder Block
- Oil Pump Drive Chain
- Mark the running direction before removal
- Bolt
- 9 Nm
- Chain Tensioner
- O-Ring
- Replace after removing.
- Coat with engine oil
- Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt

- Oil Screen
- Oil Pump
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Oil Pump Bolt
- 8 Nm +90°
- Replace after removing.
- O-Ring
- Replace after removing.
- Coat with engine oil
- Oil Intake Pipe Bolt
- 4 Nm +45°
- Replace after removing.
- Oil Pan Bolt
- Tightening sequence. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Replace after removing.
- Oil Pan Lower Section
- Metal or plastic
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Oil Pan Upper Section with 14 Bolts - Tightening Specifications and Sequence
NOTE:
Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
-- Tighten the bolts -1 through 14- in the sequence shown.

Oil Pan Upper Section with 18 Bolts - Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Replace the bolts after removing them.
- Always use 18 bolts.
-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:
