Oil Pan Upper Section, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the oil pan lower section. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear sealing flange. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TRANSMISSION SIDE .

-- Remove the oil pump. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

Oil Pan Upper Section with 14 Bolts

-- Remove the bolts -1 to 14- and loosen the oil pan upper section from the bonding.

-- First pry the oil pan upper section out on the transmission side. When prying out, be careful not to bend the timing chain cover.

Oil Pan Upper Section with 18 Bolts

-- Remove the bolts -1 to 18- and loosen the oil pan upper section from the bonding.

-- First pry the oil pan upper section out on the transmission side. When prying out, be careful not to bend the timing chain cover.
