Reducing Agent Tank, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Drain the reducing agent tank. Refer to REDUCING AGENT TANK, DRAINING .

-- Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to REAR BUMPER .

-- Remove the lock washer and the nuts and remove the trim panel. Refer to -item ) Cover-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 3-.

-- Release and disconnect the reducing agent line -2-. Disconnect the reducing agent line. Refer to REDUCING AGENT DELIVERY LINE, DISCONNECTING .

-- To catch escaping reducing agent place a clean cloth under the separation point.

-- Seal all the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122 .

-- Release and remove the connector -2- from the Reducing Agent Quality Sensor -G849- -1-.

-- Unclip all wires from the reducing agent tank.

-- Place the :VAG1383A or VAS6931 with a soft foam pad underneath to support the reducing agent tank.

-- Loosen the reducing agent tank -1- bolts -arrows-.

-- Carefully lower the reducing agent tank downward while paying attention to the filler tube.

NOTE:

For better illustration the Engine/Gearbox Jack underneath is not shown.

-- Lower the reducing agent tank with the :VAG1383A or VAS6931 .

-- Guide the reducing agent tank at the same time by hand.
