Rear Muffler, Removing And Installing: Removing

Remove the left rear underbody trim panel. Refer to UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL .

-- If necessary disconnect the muffler. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, DISCONNECTING .

-- Remove the rear tunnel brace. Refer to UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL .

-- Loosen the clamping sleeve -2- and push it toward the rear.

WARNING:

Risk of accident due to the weight of the rear muffler.

A second technician is required to remove the rear muffler.

-- Disengage the rear muffler -10- from the mount -11-.

-- Remove the bolts -9 and 12- and remove the rear muffler -10-.
