Exhaust Door Control Unit -J883-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

-- Attach the new Exhaust Door Control Unit -J883-. While doing so, make sure that the control unit coupling plate -1- engages in the exhaust door tab -2-.

-- Insert the new bolts and position the new nuts.

-- First tighten the upper bolt and then the lower one. Tightening specification: 10 Nm.

-- Remove the protective cap for the connector and connect the connector -1-. If necessary, attach the heat shield boot.

-- After replacing the Exhaust Door Control Unit -J883-, the adaptation values must be adapted in the engine control module with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
