CONTROL VALVE FOR Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Notes
If the camshaft adjuster control valve -item ) OVERVIEW - VALVETRAIN- was diagnosed as faulty, the camshaft adjuster can remain installed and only the control valve must be replaced.
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .
-- Remove the upper toothed belt guard. Refer to TOOTHED BELT GUARD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Risk of destroying by the toothed belt skipping.
- Only turn the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation.
-- Turn the crankshaft at the toothed belt sprocket bolt until the camshaft toothed belt sprocket is at "TDC".
-- Secure the camshaft hub with the :3359 by inserting the pin into the fork on the drive plate -2- and into the hole behind it -1- in the cylinder head.
-- Disconnect the cylinder 1 fuel injector connector -2-.
-- Release and remove the sealing plug -1- from the cylinder head cover by turning it to the left.
-- Secure the intake camshaft with the :T10492 , while doing so pay attention to the following:
Cylinder Head Cover -1- Installed:
- The distance -a- is approximately 1 mm.
Cylinder Head Cover Removed:
- The groove -1- on the :T10492 must be flush with the camshaft housing -2-.
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 - N205-.
For clarity the control valve -2- and the camshaft adjuster -1- are shown without housing.
-- Remove the control valve -2-.
