Cylinder Head Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

During installation, all heat shields must be installed at the same location.

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the upper toothed belt guard. Refer to UPPER TOOTHED BELT GUARD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the fuel injectors. Refer to OVERVIEW - FUEL INJECTORS .

-- Remove the air duct pipe with connection from the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER CONNECTIONS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Open the heat shield boot -1-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -3, 5 and 6- and free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Lay the bracket with the differential pressure sensors to the rear.

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -arrow-.

-- Loosen and remove the cylinder head cover bolts in the following sequence -7 through 1-.

-- Remove the cylinder head cover.
