Sealing Flange, Removing And Installing, Belt Pulley Side: Installing

-- Position the :T10053/1 on the crankshaft journal.

NOTE:

Be sure to check the expiration date of the sealant.

CAUTION:

There is a risk that the lubrication system could be blocked by excess sealant.

Do not apply sealant bead thicker than indicated.

-- Apply the sealant bead -arrow- to the clean sealing flange sealing surface as shown.

Sealant bead thickness: 2 to 3 mm.

NOTE:

Install the sealing flange within five minutes of applying the sealant.

-- Push the new sealing flange over the guide sleeve.

The alignment bushings engages in the opening in the cylinder block.

-- Remove the guide sleeve.

-- Tighten the sealing flange bolts all the way hand-tight.

-- Tighten the sealing flange bolts in a diagonal sequence. Refer to Figure.

Vehicles With Two-Piece Oil Pan

-- Install the oil pan lower section. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the oil pan upper section. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles With One-Piece Oil Pan

-- Install the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Continuation For All Vehicles

-- Install the toothed belt (adjust valve timing). Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
