When Performing Assembly Work on HID Headlamps, Note The Following
- Information on Dangerous High Voltage/Currents. Refer to Warnings for Dangerous High-Voltage and Currents .

WARNING:
Always disconnect the Battery -A- before working on any HID headlamp components marked with the yellow high-voltage symbols. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / BATTERY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Then switch the low beams on and back off. This removes any possible residual voltage.
The HID headlamp control module must never be operated without an HID headlamp bulb.
Due to the high-voltage (over 28000 V when igniting the lamp) and temperatures, the HID headlamp bulb should only be operated inside the headlamp housing.

- Never change an HID headlamp bulb if not familiar with the corresponding steps, safety precautions and the tool.
