Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

NOTE:

Replace the seals and the O-rings.

-- Coat the new O-rings -4- and the seal from the adjusting element with coolant.

-- Make sure that both centering pins are installed in the cylinder block if necessary insert.

-- Install the connection piece -2- into the engine oil cooler -1-.

-- Push the Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493- -3- onto the connecting piece and centering pins in the cylinder block.

-- Tighten the bolts for the Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493-. Refer to Figure.

-- Install the coolant pump. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

The rest of the assembly is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-- Once all of the coolant hoses are connected, check the cooling system for leaks. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .

-- Fill the coolant. Refer to Prepare the cooling system for filling: .

-- Perform the adaptation of the Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493-. Proceed as follows:

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester and select the following functions.
