Engine And Transmission, Separating

AWD vehicles

-- Remove the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX, REMOVING .

All Vehicles

-- Remove the six converter nuts -arrow-.

-- To do so turn the engine in the direction of engine rotation 60° respective additional turn.

NOTE:

The torque converter will be pulled out when the transmission is separated from the engine if all 6 nuts are not removed!

-- Remove the all the engine to transmission bolts.

-- Remove the transmission -3- from the engine, while doing so push the torque converter -1- with for example a screwdriver -2- against the transmission -direction of the arrow-.

-- After removing the transmission secure the torque converter from falling.
