Crankshaft Needle Bearing, Replacing: Removing

-- Remove the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING .

• Always replace the needle bearing -arrow- after the engine and transmission are separated.
• The front edges of the internal puller must not be broken off.

-- Remove the needle bearing -1- using the Internal Puller: VAS251635  -A- and Counter Support, for example KUKKO 22-1: VAS251621  -B- from the crankshaft -2-.

-- The internal puller must be positioned behind the needle rim -arrow-.
