2. O-Ring
   • Always replace
   • Coat with coolant
3. Centering Pin
4. Bolt
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
5. Seal
   • Always replace
6. Coolant Pump
   • Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • For a new coolant pump, remove the protective cap
7. Bolt
   • Tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
8. Toothed Belt
   • For the coolant pump
   • Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
9. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
10. Toothed Belt Guard
11. Bolt
    • 10 Nm + 90° additional turn
    • Always replace
    • Left-hand thread
12. Toothed Belt Sprocket
    • Note the installation position
13. Intake Side Balance Shaft Seal
    • Replacing. Refer to BALANCE SHAFT GASKET, REPLACING, INTAKE SIDE .
14. Balance Shaft
15. Seal
    • Always replace
16. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
17. Connection
18. Spring
19. Seal
    • Always replace
20. Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493-
    • Removing and installing. Refer to Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm in the following sequence: -1 to 5-.

-- Tighten the coolant pump bolts to 9 Nm in a -1 to 4- sequence.
