Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing, Golf, PASSAT, TIGUAN And ARTEON: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- If there are small impressions on the fins, pay attention to the following. Refer to RADIATOR AND CONDENSER ASSEMBLY .

-- Replace the O-rings.

-- Place the radiator at an angle in the lower charge air cooler mount and engage the radiators with each other -arrow-. Pull to check that the catch is secure.

-- Place the radiator mount -1- on the charge air cooler. At the same time note the installation position -arrow-.

-- Pivot the charge air cooler with the radiator in the lock carrier. Pay attention that the radiator mount is seated correctly in the lock carrier.

-- Secure the radiator mount whose retainer was removed to the lock carrier -arrows- Bolts. Refer to the Parts Information.

• Tightening specification: 5 Nm

-- Install the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Connect the coolant hose to the connector coupling. Refer to Fig 2.

-- Fill the coolant. Refer to Coolant Mixture Ratio - Coolant Level, Checking .
