Oil Pump, Removing And Installing: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Volkswagen GTI, 2020 Volkswagen GTI, 2019 Volkswagen GTI, 2018 Volkswagen Golf, and 2018 Volkswagen GTI. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

NOTE:

There are plastic ribs on the oil baffle that deform permanently when tightening. The plastic ribs ensure the oil baffle has no play and does not rattle. Because of this, always replace the oil baffle after removal.
