Crankshaft Seal, Replacing, Belt Pulley Side

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Procedure 

-- Remove the toothed belt. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket -1- in direction of -arrow-.

NOTE:

Risk of destroying the engine by adjusting the valve timing.

Do not turn the crankshaft out of TDC.

-- Pry out the seal using the : T20143/2  in direction of -arrow-.

-- Clean the contact and sealing surface.

-- Slide the new seal onto the : T10485/2  in direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the : T10485/3  in direction of -arrow-.

-- Mount the : T10485/2  with the seal -1- on the crankshaft.

-- Install the seal -2- with the : T10485/1  and the bolt -1- for the belt pulley all the way.

-- Mount the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket on the crankshaft.

-- Install the toothed belt (adjust valve timing). Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
