Airbag Unit With Igniter, Removing And Installing: Installing
-- For vehicles with a multifunction steering wheel, insert the connector into the connector coupling.
-- Insert the airbag connector into the connector coupling and push in the connector lock.
The airbag connector must engage audibly.
-- Push the airbag unit into the steering wheel.
-- Make sure that the airbag unit is engaged in the steering wheel.
-- Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
If the ignition is not switched on after the battery is reconnected - "indicator lamps in the instrument cluster do not light up" - the ignition (key/button) may only be switched on when the driver seat is positioned all the way back.
-- Check and erase the airbag control module DTC memory because faults can be stored from when the connectors are disconnected. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
