Brake Lamp Switch -F-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, WITH 4-CYLINDER GASOLINE ENGINE: Removing

Vehicles with 2.0L Gasoline Engine and Turbocharger

-- Remove the engine cover upward from the attaching points -arrows-. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (CPLA, CPPA, CPKA, CPRA) or ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (DDSA, DDSB) .

Vehicles with 1.4L Gasoline Engine, Turbocharger and Compressor:

-- Lift engine cover -3- upward at points -1- in direction of -arrow-.

-- Pull cover out of bracket -2- in direction of -arrow-.

Continuation for Both Engines: 

-- Remove the intake hose -2-. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR FILTER HOUSING (CPLA, CPPA, CPKA, CPRA) or OVERVIEW - AIR FILTER HOUSING (DDSA, DDSB) .

-- To do this, loosen clamps -1-.

-- Seal the openings with the : VAS6122  .

Continuation for All Vehicles:

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the screw -2- from the brake master cylinder.

-- Remove the Brake Lamp Switch -F- -3- from under the brake master cylinder and up from the clip -4-.
