Rear Seat Backrest, Removing And Installing, Sedan: Removing

-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Do not press the rear seat backrests onto the center backrest mounting! To prevent damage to the backrest cover, place a foam piece or similar material between the backrest mounting and the backrest!

-- Remove the luggage compartment carpet. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear dual seat belt latch. Refer to REAR SEAT BELT LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the side trim panel. Refer to SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SEDAN .

Vehicles with Subwoofer

-- Remove the subwoofer. Refer to SUBWOOFER -R211-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Fold the side luggage compartment trim panel toward the rear.

-- Open the release cable brackets -1 and 2- on both sides of the backrest in the luggage compartment and remove the release cable -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- from the upper section of the spare wheel well.

-- Remove the bolts on both sides of the backrest -1 and 2-.
