Rear Seat Backrest, Removing And Installing, Convertible: Installing

-- Position the backrest in the vehicle.

CAUTION:

Do not fold the backrest as long as the bench seat is not installed!

-- Install the bolt -1- by hand with the dual seat belt latch -2- but do not tighten it yet.

-- Tighten the bolts on both sides of the backrest -1 and 2- to the tightening specification.

-- Tighten the bolts -1 and 2- in the upper section of the spare wheel well to the tightening specification.

-- Tighten the bolt -1- to the tightening specification.

-- If equipped, connect the connector -1- and secure it in the bracket -2-.

-- Clip the release cable for the left and right rear seat backrest locking mechanism in the bracket on the body.

-- Install the right and left luggage compartment trim panels. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CONVERTIBLE .

-- Further installation is the reverse order of removal.
