Rear Seat Backrest Frame, Removing And Installing, Convertible: Removing

-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Do not press the rear seat backrests onto the center backrest mounting! To prevent damage to the backrest cover, place a foam piece or similar material between the backrest mounting and the backrest!

-- Remove the cover and cushion. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, REAR SEAT BACKREST, CONVERTIBLE .

-- Remove the 8 bolts -arrows- on the front side.

-- Using a screwdriver, pry caps -2 and 3- on both sides out of the mounts on the rear side of the backrest -1-.

-- Remove the 8 bolts -arrows- on the rear side.

-- Remove the backrest shells -1 and 2- upward from backrest frame.
