Rear Seat Belt Latch, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Do not press the rear seat backrests onto the center backrest mounting! To prevent damage to the backrest cover, place a foam piece or similar material between the backrest mounting and the backrest!

-- Remove the luggage compartment carpet. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the rear cap -1- from the retainers in the luggage compartment.

NOTE:

It is not possible to remove the cap -1- without destroying it.

-- Loosen the front cap -2- from the retainers.

-- If equipped, disconnect the connectors -1- from the bracket -2-.
