Airbag Unit With Igniter, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Connect the airbag connector -1- in the connector. The airbag connector must click into place.

-- Insert the connector -2- in the connector lock. This is required only on the multifunction steering wheel.

-- Press the airbag unit -3- into the steering wheel until it audibly engages.

-- Gently pull on the airbag unit to make sure the it is locked securely inside steering wheel on the left and right sides.

-- Switch the ignition on.

WARNING:

Make sure that no persons are in the vehicle.

-- Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
