Bonded Window Tool Kit - Pull Handle:VAG1351/1
Cartridge Gun:VAG1628
Adhesive Strip Remover:VAS6349

WARNING:

When cutting through the adhesive bead of the rear spoiler, do not use a cutting wire because of the risk of damaging the painted surfaces.

NOTE:

Remove dirt from all joints, so that no paint damage can occur during removal of the rear spoiler.

Cover the bordering painted surfaces with tape to prevent causing damage.

Vehicles with Satellite Antenna -R170- in the Rear Spoiler

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL (CONVERTIBLE) .

-- Disconnect the connector to the Satellite Tuner Antenna -R172- in the rear spoiler and free up the wiring guide to the rear spoiler.

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Carefully loosen the adhesive tape -2- between the rear lid and the outer rear left and right spoiler using a plastic wedge.

-- Pull the cutting wire sideways under the rear spoiler -1-.

-- Secure a :VAG1351/1 on both ends of the cutting wire.

-- Cut the adhesive beads -4- on the rear spoiler -1- completely free using "sawing" motions.

CAUTION:

When cutting free, pay attention to the ball stud -2-. The ball studs -2- must not be damaged. Begin to cut the adhesive bead on the other side, where appropriate.

The alignment pin -3- cannot be used again and can be cut through.

If the vehicle has a Satellite Tuner Antenna -R172- in the rear spoiler, pay attention to the related antenna wire. It is located near the left ball stud -2- and must not be damaged.

-- Remove the rear spoiler from the rear lid.
