Temperature Control Door Release Cable, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

The air distribution for vehicles with Climatronic is regulated using the Left Temperature Control Door Motor -V158- and the Left Temperature Control Door Position Sensor -G220- or using the Right Temperature Control Door Motor -V159- and the Right Temperature Control Door Position Sensor -G221-. Refer to Left Temperature Control Door Motor -V158-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the display control head front section. Refer to DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD FRONT SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the driver side footwell vent. Refer to DRIVER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nuts -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -4-.

-- Remove the bracket -5- from the heater and A/C unit -2- and from the instrument panel crossmember -3-.

-- Push the retainer -5- on the display control head rear section -4- the side.

-- Remove the release cable -3- from the retainer and the adjusting lever.

-- Release the cable retainer mount -2- in direction of -arrows- and remove it from the heater and A/C unit locking mechanism.

-- Remove the release cable -3- from the retainer -6- on the heater and A/C unit.

-- Remove the ball -1- from the release cable -3- and from the adjusting lever -7-.

-- Carefully remove the release cable -3- in the direction of the left footwell.
