Flexible Air Distribution Shaft, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Move the flexible shaft into the following position:

-- Turn the air distribution control knob -4- until the retainer -arrow a- for the flexible shaft -1- is visible in the gears -2-.

-- Release the retainer -arrow a- from the flexible shaft -1- with a small screwdriver and remove it from the set-up gear -2-.

-- Release the retainer in direction of -arrow b- for the flexible shaft -1- and remove the shaft from the display control head -3-.
