Pistons, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

Arrow on the piston crown points toward belt pulley side.

Install the upper joint of the three-part oil scraping ring 120° offset to the neighboring compression ring

-- Install the compression ring. Refer to Figure.

-- Install the oil scraping ring. Refer to Figure.

-- Coat the contact surfaces of the bearing shells and the cylinder wall with engine oil.

-- Push the piston -1- with the : T40347 carefully by hand in the cylinder in direction of -arrow-.

-- Install the connecting rod bearing cap. Pay attention to the installation position. Refer to -Item ) OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD - List Item: Connecting Rod Bearing Cap.

-- Install the cylinder head. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the oil pan upper section. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
