Sub-Assembly Bracket, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Loosen the hose clamps -3 and 5-.

-- Disconnect the connector from the Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31- -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 4- and then remove the air duct pipe downward.

-- Remove the fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the right front wheel housing liner. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Cover the radiator with a suitable materials to prevent damage.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the air duct pipe by lifting the clip -2- and opening the screw-type clamp -3-.

CAUTION:

Danger of frostbite from refrigerant.

- Do not open the A/C system refrigerant circuit.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the A/C Compressor Regulator Valve -N280-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the A/C compressor from the bracket with the refrigerant hoses connected and tie up to the right side. Do not bend, twist or stretch the refrigerant lines and hoses.

-- Remove the intake manifold support by removing the nut -1- and bolt -2-.

-- Remove the generator. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the cable brackets -arrows- for the Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428- -2- from the bottom of the sub-assembly bracket and engine.

-- Disconnect the connectors for the Oil Pressure Regulation Valve - N428- -2-.

-- Disconnect the connectors:

1 - For oil Pressure Switch -F1- -2-

3 - For the Reduced Oil Pressure Switch -F378- -4-

5 - For the Piston Cooling Nozzle Control Valve -N522- -7-

-- Remove the oil filter element. Refer to ENGINE OIL, DRAINING OR EXTRACTING; REPLACING OIL FILTER AND FILLING ENGINE OIL .

-- Remove the bolt -1- for the oil dipstick tube.

-- Unclip the cable -2-.

-- Unclip the guide tube from the upper timing chain cover in direction of -arrow-.

-- Free up the wiring harness.

-- Place the : VAS6208 under the engine.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 5-. Remove the sub-assembly bracket from the coolant pump housing.

-- "Guide out" the sub-assembly bracket between the intake manifold and engine support.

NOTE:

The bolts -1 through 5- are various lengths.
