Crankshaft Needle Bearing, Replacing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Counter Support for example Counter Support: 22/1  -Counter Support: VAS251621  -
• Internal Puller for example Internal Puller: VAS251635 
• Bearing Installer - Bearing Press Piece: VW207C 

Only for Vehicles Equipped with a DSG^® Transmission

Conditions: 

• The front edges of the internal puller must not be broken off.
• The transmission is removed.

Needle Bearing, Removing

-- Remove the needle bearing -1- using commercially available : VAS251635  -A- and Counter Support for example : 22/1  , : VAS251621  -B- from the crankshaft -2-.

-- The internal puller must be positioned behind the needle rim -arrow-.

Installing

-- Clean the bearing seat in the crankshaft and apply a thin coat of grease.

-- Drive the needle bearing into the crankshaft using the : VW207C  .

Installation Depth: Dimension -a- = 2.0 mm.
