Rear Lid, Removing And Installing, Convertible: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL (CONVERTIBLE) .

-- Loosen the left luggage compartment trim panel and fold it to the side. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL (CONVERTIBLE) / LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, CONVERTIBLE .

-- Disconnect the connector -7- from the wire -2- inside the luggage compartment.

-- Loosen the grommet -8- and the wire holder on the hinge -9-.

-- Guide the wire -2- out of the luggage compartment through the opening.

-- Disconnect the release cable coupling -3- inside the rear lid. Refer to -Item ) Emergency Release - Release Cable Coupling in Rear Lid.

-- Loosen the grommet -5- and the release cable guide on the hinge -6-.

-- Guide the release cable -4- out of the rear lid -1- through the opening.

-- Loosen the nuts -10- on the left and right hinges, but do not remove them yet.

NOTE:

Do not loosen the nut on the centering pin -11-, otherwise the rear lid adjustment will be off.

A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

-- Remove the nuts -10- first, then remove the rear lid.
