Latch, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Open the hood.

-- Disconnect the release cable from the release cable coupling. Refer to RELEASE CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1- for the latch -2- from the engine compartment side.

-- Carefully pull the latch -2- upward from the lock carrier until the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- -1- is accessible.

-- Release the hooks -arrow a- on the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266-.

-- Push the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- in the direction of the -arrow b- and remove it from the latch -2-.

-- Remove the latch farther upward from the lock carrier.

-- Press the retaining strap on the mount in direction of -arrows- and remove the bracket -2-.

-- After loosening the catches on the bracket, remove the release cable -3- from the rear lid latch -1-.
