Wiring Harness For Solenoid Valves, Removing And Installing: Procedure

-- Drain the ATF. Refer to ATF, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the transmission fluid pan. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the transmission fluid screen. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID SCREEN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the valve body. Refer to VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the solenoid valves from the transmission connector.

-- Remove the outer 14-pin transmission connector bolt from the transmission housing.

-- Remove the connector and the wiring harness outward from the transmission housing.

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Replace the O-ring on the connector.

-- Coat the O-ring with ATF.

-- Push the connector with the new O-ring all the way into the transmission.

-- Tighten the bolt for the 14-pin transmission connector.

-- Install the valve body. Refer to VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the transmission fluid screen. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID SCREEN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the transmission fluid pan. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fill the ATF, and check the ATF level and add ATF if necessary. Refer to ATF .
