Evaporator, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

Before installing the evaporator -2-, check the condensation water drain in the evaporator housing lower section -5- and clean if necessary.

Clean the evaporator housing lower section -5- and, the evaporator -2- if necessary before installing.
Make sure that the seal -1- is not damaged and is sealed all the way around before the evaporator -2- is installed.

-- Mount the insulation -3- on the expansion valve -4-.

-- Install the evaporator -2- in the evaporator housing lower section -5-. Make certain that the surrounding seal -1- is not damaged.

NOTE:

Check that the insulation -3- has been installed correctly after the assembly of both housing halves.

If the insulation -3- is missing or not installed correctly, it can cause reduced the performance of the A/C system (change of adjusted control characteristics of expansion valve due to radiant heat).
