Recirculation Door Motor -V113-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Turn on the ignition and wait until the Recirculation Door Motor -V113- has reached its end position "fresh air mode" (recirculating air mode not activated).

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the wiring harness from the cover -1- -arrow b-.

-- Release the retainers -2-.

-- Remove the cover -1- from the guide -arrow a-.

-- Remove the cover -1- from the heater and A/C unit -3-.

-- Remove the Recirculation Door Motor -V113- -4- from the mounts on the air intake duct -2- in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the Recirculation Door Motor -V113- -4-.

NOTE:

The connection between the gear wheels on the Recirculation Door Motor -V113- and the fresh air/air recirculation door is designed in such a way so that the motor can only be removed in the "fresh air mode" position without any problems. The intake air opening for the recirculating air mode is closed by the fresh air/air recirculation door.

If the Recirculation Door Motor -V113- is found in a different position and can no longer be moved, the adjustment motor cannot be simply pulled off, rather it must be loosened first with strong force from the mounting points -2-. Ensure that the gears are not damaged while doing this.
