Overview - Wheel Bearing

  1. Bolt
    • 50 Nm +45°
    • Replace after removing  .
  2. Cover
  3. Mounting Bracket
  4. Bolt
    • 90 Nm +90°
    • Replace after removing  .
  5. Coupling Rod
    • Connects stabilizer bar to trailing arm/wheel bearing housing
  6. Bolt
    • 90 Nm +45°
    • Replace after removing  .
    • Note the tightening sequence. Refer to Installing .
  7. Bolt
    • 8 Nm
  8. Right Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G44- / Left Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G46-
    • Can be checked in Guided Fault Finding. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
    • Before inserting the sensor, clean the inner surface of the hole and coat with Grease:G 000 650  .

  11. Trailing Arm
  12. Bonded Rubber Bushing
  13. Nut
    • 45 Nm
    • Replace after removing  .
  14. Bonded Rubber Bushing
  15. Cover Plate
  16. Bolt
    • 12 Nm
  17. Wheel Hub with Wheel Bearing
    • The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing
    • Removing  and installing  . Refer to WHEEL BEARING UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

      The wheel bearing and wheel hub are installed together in a housing.

      The wheel bearing unit is maintenance free and has zero play. Adjusting as well as repair work is not possible!

  18. Bolt
    • 200 Nm +90°
    • Replace after removing  .
    • Loosen and tighten using Socket - Xzn 18mm: T10162A 
  19. Dust Cap
  20. Brake Rotor
  21. Bolt
    • 4 Nm
