Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Automatic Transmission: Removing

-- Disconnect the ground cable to the Battery -A- when the ignition is switched off. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION (CONVERTIBLE) / NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (CONVERTIBLE) .

-- If equipped, release and disconnect the connectors -arrows-.

-- Remove the nut -2-.

-- Remove the bracket -1- for the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

Vehicles with 1.8L Gasoline Engine

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DDSA, DDSB] (CONVERTIBLE) or AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CPLA, CPPA, CPKA, CPRA] (CONVERTIBLE) .

-- Slide the cap -1- in the direction of the -arrow A-.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the nut -3- and remove terminal 30/B+ -2-.

-- Remove the nut -2-.
