Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 7-Gear Dual-Clutch Transmission: Removing

-- Disconnect the ground cable to the Battery -A- when the ignition is switched off. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

Vehicles with Air Filter Over the Starter -B- :

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DDSA, DDSB] (CONVERTIBLE) or AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CPLA, CPPA, CPKA, CPRA] (CONVERTIBLE) .

Vehicles Without An Air Filter Over The Starter -B-

-- Loosen the spring clamp -1- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Unclip the air duct upper section -2- and remove it.

-- Unclip and remove the air duct lower section.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Remove the cap -5-.

-- Remove the nut -6- and terminal 30/B+.

-- Remove the Starter -B- -3- bolts -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the Starter -B- -3- upward.
