Instrument Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the driver side airbag unit. Refer to AIRBAG UNIT WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the steering wheel. Refer to STEERING WHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the instrument panel cover on each side. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove upper A-pillar trims. Refer to A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A-PILLAR UPPER TRIM, SEDAN .

-- Remove the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the instrument cluster trim. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FRAME, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BOTTOM .

-- Remove the steering column trim. Refer to LOWER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527-. Refer to OVERVIEW - STEERING COLUMN SWITCH MODULE .

-- Remove the Steering Column Combination Switch -E595-. Refer to OVERVIEW - STEERING COLUMN SWITCH MODULE

-- Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER -KX2-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to DRIVER SIDE LEFT INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with Radio System 

-- Remove the radio. Refer to RADIO, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with Navigation 

-- Remove the navigation display and controls. Refer to NAVIGATION SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the screws -1, 3 and 4- from the instrument panel -2-.

-- Remove the screws -1, 3 and 4- from the instrument panel -2-.

-- Disconnect the wiring harness -1- from the front passenger airbag unit.

Vehicles with Dual Stage Airbag Units 

-- Disconnect the wiring harness -2- from the front passenger airbag unit.

Continuation for All Vehicles 

-- Remove the clip -arrow- from the bracket -4-.

-- Remove the bolts -3- from the bracket -4-.

-- Remove the instrument panel -1- from the mounts in the windshield transition area -2- -arrow-.

-- Pull the instrument panel -2- forward from the instrument panel crossmember -1-.

-- Disconnect the wiring harnesses depending on the vehicle equipment.

-- Remove the instrument panel -2- from the vehicle with a second technician.
