Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, Connecting, Bora/Golf My 1998 Through 2003

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Procedure

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment and remove the ignition key.

-- On vehicles with automatic transmissions, move the selector lever to the "P" or "N" position.

-- On vehicles with manual transmissions, move the shift lever to the neutral position.

-- Remove the trim panel -1- in the direction of -arrow-.

-- When the ignition is switched off, connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to the vehicle data link connector.

-- Switch the ignition on.

NOTE:

The method for connecting all other Vehicle Diagnostic Tester is the same as the sequence described above.
