Different Wheel/Tire Combinations, Converting
In addition to the tire package given in the registration document, a conversion to different wheel/tire combinations is technically possible. The following conditions must be fulfilled:
The operating license of the vehicle will expire in the German Federal Republic if a wheel/tire combination is applied that is not in the registration document or in the Certificate of Conformity. To extend the operating license, the vehicle must be inspected according to 19.2 / 21 StVZO by an officially recognized expert or inspector of motor traffic. Then the issue of a new operating license is requested at the appropriate licensing authority (registration service).
The corresponding country-specific registration regulations are to be followed.
