Damaged Window Glass, Removing

WARNING:
Always wear protective goggles and leather gloves.
-- Protect body and interior from glass splinters.
-- Remove glass pieces from adhesive material.
-- If equipped, disconnect the connectors for the rear window defogger and the window antenna.
-- Bond flange -2- all around with fabric reinforced adhesive tape.
-- Cut the adhesive (with glass residue) in the window opening with the Window Cutter VAG1561 A and a designated cutting blade.
