Airbag Control Module -J234-: Removing

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0A4,02E,09G,02Q] [For engine(s) CVCA,CPRA,CPKA,CPLA,CJAA,CBUA,CPPA,CCTA,CBFA] Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the screw -1-.

-- Remove trim -2-.

NOTE: The other parts of the center console do not need to be removed.

-- Remove the nuts -1-.

-- Remove the bracket -2- from the center tunnel.

-- Open the retainer -1- on the connector in direction of -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the wiring harness from the control module -1-.

NOTE: The control module is shown in the illustration without the other components around it.

-- Remove the nuts -1-.

-- Remove the control module -2- from the center tunnel.
